TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE SUMMER
We offer the best kayaking and tubing experience on the Edisto River
I can't say enough good things about this place. I have been in Charleston for 15 plus years and I never new this river existed or that you could float down the river. My wife Melissa, son Josh with his friend Dennis and I got a late start. We hit the river by 5pm after we were taxied to the boat landing by the staff. We then began to float the river. I was hesitant to do this but the staff assured me I wouldn't run into alligators. I was relaxed and it was great. Then a rain storm came out of no where!!! The staff then came out and picked us up in their boat. They were awesome and very helpful. If you ever want to float this river please give these guys a try. Happy 4th!!!
Just wanted to say thanks again to Earl and his boys for taking our family out on an awesome river trip. We had a good sized, mixed experience group and Earl hooked us up with an amazing river kayak trip at the last minute. The Edisto River Adventure Team was more than courteous and flexible with drop off times and equipment; and we could not recommend them more. Already looking forward to a cook out there next year! Thanks for the photos, fishing tips, and fresh fruit when we made it back to shore too!
This is the way to do the tubing experience down the Edisto river! This place takes all the headache of dropping off a vehicle down river and taking another one to the park. They drop you off at the tubing launch and you float right back to Edisto river adventures. Very inexpensive tube rental and shuttle.
After seeing a special on the travel channel about the Edisto River our family decided we wanted to take a trip out to Edisto River Adventures for a kayaking trip. We were staying on Seabrook Island for the week, and River Adventures through a google search. From the beginning Earl was incredibly flexible and accommodating. We had changed the number of people in our group (more than once) and the number of single/double kayaks. Each time he told us that he had us covered and it was not a problem. When we arrived he and his sons helped us get prepare for the trip. They provided us with dry bags and boxes – for those that want to bring their phones and other important items. He also got a cooler tube to connect to one of our kayaks, because our cooler was too big. Earl drove our whole crew to the dropping point, and we paddled back to our cars.It took us about 4 hours, from the drop off to getting back in the car - including a 20 minute lunch break. Our group would recommend bringing lunch/snacks and drinks. The trip is definitely a full 8 miles, so a break and dip in the middle of the trip is a perfect way to cool off, and relax a bit. When we arrived back to Earl’s they were waiting for us with large cold slices of watermelon. Overall, it was a really great morning/afternoon! We would definitely come back! Next time we might try floating on tubes down the river.
